After surgery, it is better to avoid eating any hard foods that could potentially damage your implants while they heal.
A soft food diet is recommended for a week, and you should take particular care for at least 12 weeks after surgery.
Before the placement of multi-tooth dental implants, an incision is made in the gum tissue, and a titanium implant post is inserted into the jawbone.
This is repeated various times, depending on the number and position of missing teeth. Once the implant posts are in place, protective caps are put over the implantation sites – to protect areas around the posts.
These caps also maintain the soft tissue’s shape until the implants fuse with the jawbone, and the restorations are created and attached.
